Yay!

I'm alive and actually working on art. I now have TWO webcomics- Neither of which is on the internet yet because I got majorly screwed by Comic Genesis and have yet to find a suitable replacement. I'm browsing currently for a new site. I have a few ideas. . .

I'm working on 3 massively large pieces of art right now, a trilogy for the darling The sketches look mind-blowingly FANTASTIC, but I hit a huge road block with the colours. :/

So I'm taking a break to work on some Fan-art, which I hope will help get me back on track with my colouring, so I can get back on track with the trilogy. I also have a few minor picture projects on the back burners, and a few things I'd like to post that have been lurking around the hard drive forever, that are all about 20 minutes from being done. There;s about 5 pictures in that pile! I've been working on my realism as well, and my style, so my art's changed a bit.

Ahhhhh good times. I'm busy with work and school and papers and projects, and Wow and webcomics that'll never get off the ground~ I've been pretty good in general. I've been lurking, you may have seen me now and then. I'm working on getting together a stock account, but I rarely get the fast internet connection ,the external hard drive and the laptop in the same room together at the same time, so it's going slowly.

Hope you've all been good! Please ask for sketches! Get your friends in on the deal!

Also, if I had a contest, would you enter it? It would be massively free-form, and t would be for the benefit of my dorm room, when I go! I'm working on getting my paypal account back up, so I could give memberships as gifts... What do you think?

Okay guys! I figured maybe if I had to give out art prizes, I'd actually be forced to do some art! So I figured I'd hold a contest!

CONTEST!

The object of the contest is to draw Never.

Never is a large purple unicorn.

Do whatever you;d like with him. Draw him as a horse, a pony, a unicorn, a kitten, a super cute anime boy! Make him the star in gratuitous furry porn! Make abstract Never art full of squares and squiggles! A clever play on his name gets you extra points! As long as I can tell it's Never, it's game!

He's a dusky purple with pale red eyes and a dark grey mane and tail. Also note his horn is broken off, giving it a wicked point.

Never himself will be our special guest judge! Alright, not really.

Winner gets ART! From me. Anything they'd like. Name it and it shall be done.

Runners up get less detailed art from me. Prolly just straight black and white line arts.

I'm doing this in the hopes that you guys will inspire me to draw again! I'm hoping it'll get me back in the mood to do something as amazing as everyone who watches me does.


No fears though, I'm working on a few pieces I hope will be up in the next week or two. The first part or two or three of a set of 5 pieces, One of Never as a cute anime boy!!! As well as 2 other slivers of trivial nonsense which I'm saving for way last, and several choice pieces of fanart and gift art, one of which won;t be up for a while b/c I want to make it the best it can be. I also owe her Christmas gift still *groan* I promise it'll be up, errr. . . this week? Gosh I'm so busy sometimes I swear. It's done and it looks rly nifty. It's actually on the table next to me. My life is all 'class class class sleep class gym class sleep study class gym work work work work work' and then I do it again next week.

Anyhow! Thanks for your support and for being there and making awesome art! You guys inspire me and it makes my life to know I can always come back to dA and you've only gotten better since I've been busy doing non art related things. I've lost my muse and you all make amazing stand-ins while he's fluttering about elsewhere. I'm trying to get my game back together. I've said it before, I know, but I mean it this time. I'm doing this new thing where I make time for the things I need to do and I get them done well and in a timely manner, haha.

Along that line I'm crushing all my classes this semester and sent in a transfer application to a good 4 year school, so no more of this community college stuff! So life's going smoothly now and I have GOALS *gasp* I'm gonna be a lawyer and work with Jack McCoy. True story.

Anyhow it's bed time for all good little Moonstrucks.
I have to go find some good little Moonstrucks and put them to bed.

I'm so disillusioned with art anymore.

It's like half the people I watch are. . .Well they're really good but. . .it's just 'wolf.' 'dragon.' 'wolf.' 'wonkily drawn anime character with bunny ears.' 'wolf.'

Srsly.

It's not everyone. It's just like. . . most of my watch list. I mean wolves are cool and all. But you'll never be one or hang out with them or see a real one. Everyone's into them. You aren't the first person to draw a ZOMG RED?!?!? wolf and you sure as hell won't be the last. It's. . . idk. Maybe I grew up. Maybe I dumbed down. Maybe life lost some of its sparkle and mystery somewhere along the way.

I'm not as good as I used to be. . .I don't do much besides doodle anymore, though I'm planning on working on a set of digital arts. If I ever finish any. Which I won't. Because I have work and school and I need to bring my GPA up to at least a 2.5. Which it isn't at right now. It will be by the end of this semester though, it HAS to be. So I can get into the school I need to.

I lost art talent. Where did it go? I look at stuff from like 2 or 3 years ago and it's so pretty and well done and I know I can't do anything on that level anymore.

Mostly I just draw monsters.

I did I still life. . .I should put that up.

Anyhow dA is a cool place to pick up art for my apartment when I get one! Which I am doing next fall semester. At which point I will cease to have free time until I graduate law school in 5 years.

. . .If this is still dA. . .it's the same colour but. . .

Eh. I guess I just need to trim my watch list. Care a little more. Maybe It's just a thing. That'll go away. I owe people art but every time I look at what I've begun it looks worse and more juvenile and pointless then the last time I looked at it. I can seriously look at something I did the day before and see nothing but a mess of anatomical mistakes and wonky body parts and. . . Idk. I'm never going to be great. I'm never even going to be good.

WYND I'm leaving you all my leftover art talents! For what it's worth. . .

Phewph. Past few weeks have been rough, my grandfather's been in the hospital and not doing too well and he finally passed away. I've been bouncing back between the house and Newyork for the past two weeks, and Newyork doesn't have a reliable internet connection. The Funeral was saturday, so I'll finally be back home soon. . .

I've been sick again *groan* and mostly working on my webcomic stuff, and a D&D campaign I've been planning for a while now. Had to watch my brother for a week, it's been a realatively busy past few weeks and I haven't gotten much of anything done.

I'll be back up and running tomorrow, so Though I know all 3 of you missed my art, no worries! It'll be back up with some vague regularity soon. I've got a few new pieces I'm working on that should be done soon, and the webcomic will be up as soon as I find space for it out there on the intarwebz. Anyone know any good places? Anyone? No?

It also turns out that sculpting has turned me int oa true and real hardcore perfectionist. . . :/ I took one look at the trade piece I was supposed to do with wynd and poked at it for about 5 minutes before scrapping it. It needs to be better. :/ It must be. . .*spazzes*

So that's what I've been up tooooo. A lazy old summer. I can't get a job so I'm a bum.
